Qualifying for Weekly Therapy

Clients must first participate in a diagnostic evaluation at the Freedlander Speech and Hearing Clinic to determine if they have communication needs that can be addressed by undergraduate student clinicians. Following the evaluation, clients who qualify for weekly therapy may receive therapy for the duration of less than one semester, for an entire semester, or for multiple semesters depending on clients’ needs, student training needs, and supervisor availability.

In general, weekly therapy is provided for four semesters at most. Clients who want to continue receiving services for more than four semesters may petition the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the College of Wooster.
